The 75th Commonwealth Day was celebrated in Australia’s Perth Government House. During which Commonwealth Parliamentary members participated. On this occasion, the senior members highlighted the progress and importance of the country, mutual brotherhood was promoted. All national members as well as people from all communities participated. On this occasion Hon. Shelley Payne MLC, Hon Steve Martin MLC, Hon Rosie Sahanna MLC, Ms Jessica Shaw MLA, Ms Ali Kent MLA, Mr Yaz Mubarakai MLA, MLO President Haroon Parwani and Selam Tegegn, Hameed Prince, Hoosein Ismael, Evia Eringo, Indian Society of WA President Satish Nair, Amandeep Singh and Harry Gill attended. On this occasion Hon. Speaking to Anssacc WA’s Harry Gill, Rosie Sahanna MLC said that the Sikh community has a great contribution to make to society.My grandfather also came from India in 1896, he also used to wear turbans.
